Immersion Heater #10
Instructions
Brochure
The
#10 heater is manufactured using virgin Teflon materials,
internal ceramic elements and is covered with high temperature
silicone. Designed for safety, it has a built in thermostat and will not
overheat, but will activate the heater at 85
°F
and turn off at
105
°F This heater will never burn out.
GFCI is built into the 15' cord and 120V plug, so it will run on
household current. Suitable for pools up to 150
gallons of water*. For larger pools, order more. Just
lay the heater inside the pool, and plug it in. Does not
circulate water. Install 24 hours before service.

Immersion Heaters IMER120V
and IMER 240V
Brochure
These
immersion style heaters are ready to use right out of the box.
No drilling or plumbing of your baptistry is necessary as these
heaters "hang" over the side. Brackets help hold them in
place. The immersion section is made from stainless steel
to avoid rust issues. All heat is confined to the bottom
"horizontal" portion of the heater. There is a "high
limit" safety switch which will turn off the unit at 125°F
in the unlikely event of a thermostat failure. Comes with
a 48" power cord. (two styles - 120V standard 3 prong or 240V
Pig tail). Adjustable thermostat with indicator light
ranges from 55°F to 115°F. UL Listed
The 120V unit is designed at 1500
watts to heat 20 gallons per hour to a 40 degree rise in temp.
A 100 gallon pool will heat 20 degrees in about 5 hours, 40
degrees in about 10 hours*. Due to heat loss off the top
and ambient room temps, it is best to allow 18-24 hours for
heating. The 120V unit should only be used with a GFCI
outlet to comply with safety and codes.
The 240V unit is designed for
larger baptistries and at 6000 watts is 4 times more powerful
than the 120V version. This model will heat 60 GPH
(gallons per hour) to a 40°F
rise*. A typical 750 gallon baptistry can be ready in
12-14 hours, depending on ambient room temperatures and whether
a baptistry cover
is used.

Poolside Heater PL 120 and PL 240

The New Poolside Heater System is
a revolutionary idea for heating your baptistry without
compromising your fiberglass wall with inlets and outlets.
This system uses garden houses to pump the water from your
baptistry (using the included submersible pump) to the heater
which can be placed nearby. The water is heated then
pumped back into the pool, thus circulating the water as it
heats. There are two versions of this style heater,
and both feature a full range thermostat, high limit protection,
pressure switch which must be activated by the presence of water
to turn on the heater, thermal overload protected motor, and can
also be used to drain the baptistry. The entire system
weight 18 lbs.
The PL 120 - 120V, which uses 115V
household current at 1.5 KW. The 1/6 HP pump is strong
enough to pump the water 15 feet to the heater and 15 feet back.
The Control Box / Heater has a convenient carry handle,
receptacle in back to plug in the pump (so both are protected by
the GFCI) sturdy base to support the system, and all included
fittings to make the system work. Hoses are included.
The PL 120 draws 14 amps of current and carries a 1 year
warranty. UL listed.
PL 120 - for 100 gallons of
water, the temp will rise approximately 4 degrees F per
hour. For 150 gallons, it will rise approx 2.7 degrees
per hour.
Not recommended for over 150 gallons of water.
If you do not have a
cover on it, it
will take longer as some heat will escape.
The PL 240 - 240V uses 19 Amps,
4000 W at 240V single phase (60HZ) current. You will
want to connect this (using the included "pig tail" to a
protected GFCI circuit breaker (not included, but available as
an accessory item from our dealers or your electrician or
local hardware store).
This heater has 3 times the capacity of the 120V system so
it will heat any size baptistry, but works best at pools up to
750 gallons. This is the Energy Saver model, as it uses
30% energy to heat water than the typical 6 KW system.
PL240 - for 100 gallons of
water, the temp will rise approximately
16
degrees F per hour.
For 150 gallons, it will rise approx 10.6 degrees per hour.
For 300 gallons, it will rise
approx 5.4 degrees per hour.
For 500 gallons,
it will rise approx 3.3 degrees per hour.
For
750 gallons, it will rise approx 2.2 degrees per hour.
If you do not have a
cover on it, it
will take longer as some heat will escape.

Basic Circulation Heater 6 KW or 11.5 KW
Brochure
See illustration
at left for water flow.
The Basic Circulation Water Heater
has been in use for nearly 50
years, and it is the most
prevalent model in use by churches nationwide. These
heaters are UL listed and safe to use. Featuring rust resistant
Incolay stainless steel heating elements, fiberglass insulated
designs, and a 118°F
high limit safety switch, they are designed for use with a 240V,
single phase, GFCI protected circuit (GFCI not included,
but available from our dealers as an aftermarket item).
The use of chemicals (chlorine,
bromine) are not recommend as they will shorten the life span of
heaters. Ozonators can be used in well ventilated areas.
The 6KW Basic heater features an
adjustable thermostat from 60°F
to 107 °F. The pump is a 1/40 HP cartridge style pump,
capable of circulating 600 GPH at 1 foot head. The 6 KW
system will heat 100 gallons per hour to a
20
°F rise, so the average 500 gallon
baptistry will need 10 hours to rise from 54
°F to 94
°F.
The 11.5 Basic Heater
features an adjustable thermostat
from
47°F
to 107 °F.
The pump is a 1/40 HP cartridge
style pump, capable of circulating 600 GPH at 1 foot head.
The 6 KW system will heat 200 gallons per hour to a
20
°F rise, so the average 500 gallon
baptistry will need 5 hours to rise from 54
°F to 94
°F. An 1000 gallon baptistry
will need 10 hours for the same.

Installation
Assemble and make up tightly the complete heater and parts as
shown (except slip joint nuts). Locate the most accessible place
around the Baptistry for installation. Drill a 2-1/8" diameter
hole 4-1/2" up from the Baptistry floor. Smooth hole and install
chrome faced inlet flush port, by loosening at slip joint nut.
Apply clear RTV sealant under chrome flange. Remove any outside
insulation so port rubber gasket fits against outside of
fiberglass wall. Measure center to center distance exactly
between inlet and outlet fittings. Locate and drill a 2-1/8"
hole for top port using method stated above.
Assemble complete heating system onto installed ports. Important
- Block under heater or pump to support weight - this prevents
leakage of Baptistry wall fittings.
Heaters are shipped with special Installation Instructions
regarding wiring, etc. A licensed electrician should do
all necessary wiring and connections to a GFCI protected
breaker.
Caution:
Be certain heater is turned off before draining Baptistry.
Always fill Baptistry before turning heater on. Dry operation
will burn out heating element, and cause failure of the pump.

-
Model CR-6005 11.5 KW

Select photos above to enlarge
The Deluxe Circulation Baptistry Water Heater is
our "full service" option, offering the latest technology,
safety and several options for auto fill, auto drain and
baptistry side controls.
The Deluxe
model is available in both a 5.5 KW and 11.5 KW version.
Designed for permanent installation with your built in
baptistry, both feature thermostatic control at 240V (can be
used with 208V at a lower capacity). On front is the
System Diagnostic Center with indicator lights to inform you
when the pump is on, the heater is on, if the system fuse has
tripped, the high-limit switch has tripped or if there is a
system miswire.
The heating element is within an incoloy stainless steel tube
which is not subject to rust or light chemical use.
The
time-clock model is available by special order only at an
additional cost. The heating system is protected by a water
pressure switch to assure that water is flowing through the
system before the heater is engaged, and a built in GFCI breaker
with reset.
Note: a moderate amount of chlorine or bromine may be used
in the water with this heater to keep water in a sanitized
condition. Try to maintain a PH of 7.4 to 7.6.
(Make sure the pool is filled before using).
The 5.5
(Model CR-6000) is designed for baptistries up to 750 gallons although
it will heat larger pools (it just takes longer). The
heater will heat the water (assuming 750 gallons) by 3°F
per hour, so to increase the temperature from 54°F to 84°F
will take about 10 hours. Of course, ambient room
temperatures and whether you use a
baptistry cover
will affect this number. The heater includes a built in GFCI
breaker for added safety! You will need a 45-50A
Breaker (do not duplicate the GFI in the breaker).
The 11.5 KW
(Model CR-6005) is designed for baptistries from 500 gallons and
up. The
heater will heat the water (assuming 900 gallons) by 5°F
per hour, so to increase the temperature from 54°F to 84°F
will take about 5-6 hours. Of course, ambient room
temperatures and whether you use a
baptistry cover
will affect this number. The heater includes a built in GFCI
breaker for added safety! You will need a 60A-80A
Breaker (do not duplicate the GFI in the breaker).
As always, use a licensed
electrician to connect all wiring.
